So that was dinner Halloween night. Stuffed bell peppers, and a baked potato. I just thought they were too cute, and would be a good dinner as well. It worked, although next time I think I'll tweak the recipe just a little. I think my meatloaf recipe would probably be pretty good inside a green bell pepper. I don't care for green bell peppers, but I do like the flavor that it adds to the stuffing.
Halloween night was nice. We brought the fire pit out front and passed candy out from around the fire. It got a little chilly so it was nice to have the fire going. My sisters came over with my nieces and nephew which is always fun. They come over every year which I enjoy as I love seeing them all dressed up. I love seeing ALL the kids dressed up every year. It's one of my favorite things. I never go out as I love to stay home and pass the candy out every year. My nieces were a Chargers cheerleader and the other Lady Gaga, my nephew was a ninja. I can't believe how much costumes cost these days! I realize by saying that I'm aging myself as well. But really, I mean $60 for a kids costume that they'll never wear again? All I have to say is that I'm glad I don't have to deal with all that. I just get to enjoy everyone else's children which is perfectly good with me!
We invited a friend to come to church with us on Sunday and he came. I love our church, I love our pastor! He is hilarious, he's passionate, he's able to relate to so many on so many levels which is nice. He's not above you. It's just a refreshing experience after having the past we've had with pastors. Those experiences turned us away from going to a church for a good ten years at least. I missed aspects of church, but after you're burned so many times you kind of detest the idea. After we moved back here we decided to give this church out that I'd been looking at from the freeway for quite some time. Something about it made me want to give it a shot. I don't know if at the beginning I thought I was just aching for the aspects I missed about church, or there was curiosity of what it looked like inside since it had been a movie theater before and what could a church look like inside a movie theater, but really I believe now it was God tugging at my HEART and letting me know this is where we belonged. I knew that if Larr felt anything like I did, then we were going to be good. Turns out he felt the same way! So we are very happy at a church that's mission is "Turning the Hearts of youth and families to God and to each other." It's not for everyone, but it's for someone. I love that. We have a new outlook on life, and somehow it just makes it easier to deal with everything that's been thrown our way.
I really need to get back to the gym. I haven't been in 3 days now. I miss it when I don't go, which is weird, but cool. Tomorrow I do plan on going and Larr wants to go as well so that'll be good. He spends his time in the pool, and the jacuzzi. I've not gone in the pool. I don't really love going in pools probably because I hate bathing suits mostly. I really don't like getting my hair all wet because then it's gross afterwards and hard to deal with. Yes, I'm insane, I know this. I just hate that wet ponytail that is all one piece and feels like straw after the chlorinated water. You'd think someone that grew up living in the ocean each summer I'd be used to it, but those days are long gone. I stick to the track, personal workout area, and the machines. Maybe I'll do the pool or jacuzzi sometime with Larr, we'll see. ;)
I cannot believe it's November already. This year has definitely been a rollercoaster year. Much more downs than anyone wants, but we dealt with them and have come out stronger because of them. I will be glad to start a new year though, and hopefully be able to put this year to rest. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This is my favorite time of the year, as the weather is cooler and we can wear "wintery" type things for just a little while. I enjoy the little things in life. =)
